Evaluation
Since Youth Empowerment Crime Diversion scheme became operational in August 2009 the scheme has worked with 3,250 young people from around 100 groups including the Police, Youth Offending teams, Schools and Pupil Referral Units. We have worked in London and the South East Region inc Surrey, Kent and Berkshire. The response from user groups and evaluation has been extremely positive. Our services focus on attitudinal change and feedback and assessment indicates that we are highly successful in achieving this. We are able to provide evidence from a number of established organisations who have accessed our services and found them to be professional, exciting and effective.

The Youth Empowerment Crime Diversion Scheme is currently exploring several avenues for an external evaluation project.
Youth Empowerment Crime Diversion Scheme uses a five step self-evaluation system which recognises the emphasis on aims and objectives.
Step 1. What are the aims? (The changes we want to see in our target group).
Step 2. What are the objectives? (The practical activities we carry out to bring about a change in our target group)
Step 3. What are the Performance Indicators? Output indicators: help us to assess the work generated by the scheme and to show progress towards meeting our objectives. Outcome indicators: help us to assess the changes that take place as a result of the scheme and show progress towards meeting our aims.
Step 4. Monitoring. How well are we doing? (Collecting information on our outputs and outcomes)
Step 5. What change have we made? |
